At Urban Seeds Learning, learners explore core subjects through creativity and hands-on learning, integrating design thinking into their projects. Our curriculum development combines literacy, math, science, and history with architectural thinking — helping students see the world as something they can build, shape, and improve. We currently offer a Tk-2nd grade curriculum with plans for expansion to upper elementary in Spring 2026, with middle and high school programs coming soon. We are looking to expand into a learning center for the 26/27 SY for Tk-2nd grades.

Focus Areas: Literacy, Math, Science, History, Design Thinking. Our youngest learners engage in hands-on learning as they explore stories, shapes, and structures through play-based activities. Our curriculum development emphasizes projects that connect storytelling, art, and engineering, helping students grasp the concept of design thinking and recognize how design is all around them.
Sample Projects:
“Homes Around the World”
“Alphabet Architecture”
“Bridge Builders”

Focus Areas: Literacy, Math, Science, History, Sustainability. In our curriculum development, students tackle larger design challenges, linking their learning to real-world applications. Through design thinking and collaboration, they engage in hands-on learning while exploring how communities, ecosystems, and cities are constructed.
Sample Projects:
“Eco Builders Lab”
“My Dream City”
“Shrink This Room”

Our enrichment options enhance curriculum development by giving students the chance to dive deeper into creative learning. Each elective, which meets once a week, encourages self-expression through design thinking and hands-on learning activities.
Examples:
- LEGO® Engineering
- Art & Design Studio
- Architecture Explorers
- Storytelling Through Structures

Students explore how architecture, urban design, and technology shape communities through innovative curriculum development.
Focus Areas:
- Urban Planning & Environmental Design
- Engineering Principles in Everyday Life
- Art & Architecture Through Time
Sample Topics/Projects:
- Design a Sustainable School – reimagine your own campus for the future using design thinking principles.
- Architects of Nature – explore biomimicry and design inspired by living systems through hands-on learning experiences.
- Bridge Challenge – use physics and design thinking to build and test model bridges.
- Eco-Communities – plan a neighborhood that balances nature and technology with a focus on practical, hands-on learning.

Learners engage in hands-on learning as they become creators, innovators, and community planners — seamlessly connecting art, engineering, and civic engagement through curriculum development.
Focus Areas:
- Design Thinking & Problem Solving
- Architectural History and Cultural Influence
- Sustainability and Smart Cities
Sample Topics/Projects:
- Design for Impact – identify a local issue and prototype a real-world solution using design thinking.
- The Art of Space – study how design affects human behavior and emotion.
- Green City Challenge – design a city powered by renewable energy.
- Portfolio Studio – create a professional portfolio for college or design careers.
Our Middle and High School programs, focusing on curriculum development and design thinking, are projected to launch in Fall 2027. Families interested in hands-on learning experiences can join our Interest List now open for updates, allowing them to receive early access and preview materials.
